The Future of Cold is Uncertain.

The Polar world of ice is an endless source of inspiration. Often seen as a last true wilderness, the Polar caps are undergoing extensive change. Increasing pollution, and rising temperatures are exacerbating these changes, contributing to a rapid and uncertain future.
While many of us will never have the opportunity to travel to these wild locations, it is possible to experience it's wonder through other means - through the work of people like James Balog, Paul Nicklin and David Buckland. Combined with my own memorable visit to Iceland, much of my work is a response to the stories, films and photographs that others have kindly shared.

I am fascinated by the movement of ice, and  marks created by natural elements. The ice holds the earths ancient history - once melted it will never be replaced. My work is a celebration of this fragile environment..
